Basic Lunar Calendar

The following should help you visualize the lunar month. Because we have been pre-conditioned our entire lives to think interms of man-made calendars, understanding and getting used to using a lunar calendar might require some thinking initially. Once you've gone through that process and understand it, it will make so much more sense than any calendar man has ever devised. But unlearning deeply rooted old traditions and replacing them with truth it is not for the lazy; it will take some time and effort.

Sabbths fall on the same day of each lunar month. The first day is New Moon day; it is in a category all by itself--neither a Sabbath day nor a work day. The other sabbaths fall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th days. You will never find an instance in Scripture will the weekly sabbath falls on any other day of the month, but there are many provable instances where it falls on these days.

Yerushalayim Time

"And Elohim said, 'Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years..." Gen 1:14

"He made the moon for appointed times; The sun knows its going down." Psa 104:19

The Sabbath is the FIRST in the list of appointed times:

“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘The appointed times of יהוה, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My appointed times, are these:
Lev 23:3 ‘Six days work is done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a set-apart gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to יהוה in all your dwellings.
